What is Battle.town?

Battle.town is a companion user experience within 10KTF. In season 2 of Battle.town, participants used their 10KTF items and parent NFTs to participate in the story and execute a series of strategic Missions and Bounties. Successful completion of Bounties earned participants in-game Popcorn or Bells rewards that can be loaded onto 10KTF G Tags to have an impact on the Class and rarity of The Grailed PFP collection from 10KTF Shop. For more about Popcorn, Bells, and rarity, see “What are Popcorns?”, “What are Bells?”, “What is Thematic Rarity Ranking?”, and “How does Popcorn impact rarity?” below.

Loaded 10KTF G Tags will reveal each holder’s Grailed PFP after the Popcorn and Bells trading period. If you did not participate in Battle.Town season 2 Bounties, you may still obtain The Grailed PFP by purchasing a 10KTF G Tag and/or Popcorn and Bells on secondary markets.

In addition to this FAQ, review our Terms of Service for other terms governing participation in Battle.town. In the event of a conflict between this FAQ and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service will control.

Which wallets can I use?

Battle.town currently supports Metamask, and is also compatible with hardware wallets supported by Metamask. Battle.town uses warm.xyz for secure wallet delegation.

When can I trade Popcorn and Bells?

The Popcorn and Bells trading period begins at 3:00 PM PT on February 1 and ends at 3:00 PM PT on February 15, 2024. See more details in the “Loading, Fusing & Trading Schedule” below.

All of a holder’s Popcorn and Bells that are not loaded onto their G Tag by 12:00 PM PT on February 1 will be converted into tradable ERC-1155 NFTs and airdropped to the wallet they used to connect to Battle.town.

What is Popcorn and Bells loading?

Popcorn and Bells loading allows participants to transfer Popcorn and Bells they have earned to a G Tag of their choice, using the token ID of each G Tag. Loading Popcorn and Bells to your G Tag will have an impact on the Class and rarity of your developing Grailed PFP.

How do I load Popcorn and Bells?

To load Popcorn and Bells to your G Tag that are stored in your Battle.town account as off-chain rewards, navigate to the G Tag tab from the Inventory page and select a G Tag. After a G Tag is selected, a screen will appear with the types and quantities of rewards available for Loading.

To load Popcorn and Bells that are ERC-1155 NFTs during the trading period, navigate to the “Wallet” tab to view the NFTs in your wallet available for adding to your Inventory.
Popcorn and Bells NFTs must be added to Inventory before loading to G Tags. Add to Inventory individually, or all at once by choosing “Select All.” You will be prompted for a signature.

Add Popcorn NFTs to Inventory in denominations of 100, 1,000, and 10,000 by Class.
Add Bells NFTs to Inventory in denominations of 10, 100, and 1,000.

Adding Popcorn and Bells NFTs to Inventory burns the NFTs and converts Popcorn and Bells into off-chain rewards. This cannot be reversed. NFTs added to Inventory are final.

When adding NFTs to your Inventory, you will be charged a gas fee for this burn transaction.
To avoid gas fees, load all Popcorn and Bells you do not wish to trade as NFTs to your G Tags before the conversion and trading period on February 1.

Once Popcorn and Bells are loaded to a G Tag, it is permanent and cannot be removed or transferred. For more about Bells, see “What are Bells?” below.

When can I load Popcorn and Bells to my G Tags?

Load any Popcorn and Bells you do not want to trade as NFTs now through February 1. Popcorn and Bells loading will be temporarily unavailable on February 1 starting 12:00 PM PT for approximately 3 hours and will resume once the airdrop is complete and the trading period opens. Popcorn and Bells loading permanently ends at 3:00 PM PT on February 15.

What if I hold Popcorn or Bells in my wallet or my Battle.town account after the trading period?

If your wallet contains Popcorn or Bells that you have not loaded to G Tags at the time that the trading has ended, they will be burned. If Popcorn and Bells remain in your Battle.town account and were not converted to NFTs or loaded to G Tags, they will also be burned.

All Popcorn and Bells remaining in wallets or Battle.Town accounts as of February 15, 2024 will expire and self-destruct.

Loading, Fusing & Trading Schedule

By February 1 12:00 PM PT –

prepare for airdrop

All Popcorn and Bells not loaded to G Tags by this time will be converted to tradable ERC-1155 NFTs in denominations shown below. Loading of Popcorn and Bells to G Tags will be briefly unavailable until trading begins.

February 1 ~3:00 PM PT –

airdrop and trading begins

Trade Popcorn and Bell NFTs on marketplaces that respect royalties (e.g., Rarible, x2y2, Sudoswap, aggregated on Uniswap).

February 15 ~3:00 PM PT –

trading, loading, and fusing ends

Trading and loading of Popcorn & Bells and fusing G Tags will end. Exact time will be announced.

February 15 ~3:15 PM PT – burn unloaded Popcorn & Bells

All Popcorn and Bells NFTs not loaded to G Tags will be burned. Any outstanding Popcorn and Bells in your Battle.town account that were not converted to NFTs or loaded to G Tags will also be burned.
How are Popcorn and Bells issued?

Popcorn and Bells NFTs will be airdropped to wallets, according to the holder’s Battle.town account balance, in the following denominations:

  • Popcorn: 100, 1000, and 10000 (by Class)
  • Bells: 10, 100, and 1000

You are not required to convert Popcorn and Bells to NFTs and to trade them. You may also load them to any G Tags you hold. Amounts below these denominations will remain in your Battle.town account and are not tradeable. For example:

  • 199 Mosura Popcorn receives (1) 100 Mosura Popcorn NFT, 99 Mosura Popcorn remains in the Battle.town account.
  • 17 Bells receive (1) 10 Bells NFT, 7 Bells remain in the Battle.town account.

Any Popcorn and Bells that you convert to NFTs, however, must be converted back to off-chain assets before loading to a G Tag, which requires a burn transaction for which you will be charged a gas fee. Avoid gas fees by loading any Popcorn and Bells you do not wish to trade as NFTs to your G Tags before the conversion and trading period on February 1.

All Popcorn and Bells remaining in wallets or Battle.Town accounts as of February 15, 2024 will expire and self-destruct.

What marketplaces can I trade Popcorn and Bells on?

Trading of Popcorn and Bells is supported on any royalty-respecting marketplaces such as Rarible, x2y2, Sudoswap, and aggregated on Uniswap.

How do I choose my Class with Popcorn?

For Uncommon G Tags and above, the highest Popcorn type loaded to that G Tag will determine the Class.

Example: If an Uncommon, Rare, or Epic G Tag has 300 Mosura Popcorn, and 200 Swampy Popcorn, the G Tag will reveal as a PFP in the Mosura Class.

For Common G Tags, The Grailed PFP Class will be that of the largest number of Popcorn of a single type that you have loaded to a G Tag, relative to all other Common G Tags.

It’s advisable to load your Common G Tag with more than one type of Popcorn in the order of your most-desired to least-desired Class. That will give you a back-up if your most-desired Class has reached capacity. If your G Tag does not make the cutoff for top ranking of any Popcorn type, a Class will be assigned.

Loading more Popcorn will help you to receive the Grailed PFP in your most-desired Class, but it’s not a guarantee that you’ll meet the necessary ranking to receive the PFP in your most-desired Class. Popcorn can be loaded as ERC-1155 NFTs, or as off-chain rewards from your Battle.town account.

Example: You have 2 Common G Tags loaded with Mosura Popcorn and the Mosura Class is full. Only the G Tags loaded with the highest percentage of Mosura Popcorn, relative to all other G Tags loaded with Mosura Popcorn will secure a Mosura PFP. (Note: The highest percentages can be determined and displayed only after completion of all G Tag loading.)

Remaining G Tags are allocated to Classes according to the next highest loaded Popcorn types.

Example:

Common G Tag 1: 500 Mosura, 200 Swampy, 50 Ninetails = Swampy Class PFP
Common G Tag 2: 900 Mosura, 300 Kraken, 100 Golem = Kraken Class PFP

There will be approximately equivalent (not exact) numbers of PFPs in each Class. As such, only a top percentage (determined after G Tag loading) will secure its Class.

How do I get a 1 of 1?

A unique 1:1 PFP will be revealed for each respective Class in the collection. 1:1 PFPs are reserved for the G Tag that has the most Popcorn of each corresponding Class loaded onto it, regardless of Tier. All 1:1 PFPs will have the Legendary Tier trait.

What is Thematic Rarity Ranking?

Thematic Rarity Rankings mathematically quantify the relative rarity of aesthetically matching traits that randomly or purposefully appear in generative projects.

In other words if your Grailed PFP has matching traits by Class, or other themes, then it will receive a theme score for that theme (or themes) which reflects in the overall Thematic Rarity Ranking for the Grailed PFP collection.

How is the Thematic Rarity Ranking calculated?

Statistical rarity scores for traits are added to theme scores for themes to determine the overall Thematic Rarity score for each Grailed PFP. The Thematic Rarity Ranking scores, ranked in descending order, for all the Grailed PFPs in the collection combine to form the Thematic Rarity Ranking for the collection.

Statistical Rarity Score Calculation Formula: Statistical Rarity Score = (Total Number of PFPs in the Collection) / (Total Trait Count for a Specific Trait)

Example (with reference numbers only):

Total Number of PFPs: 10007
Total Trait Count for "Class: Golem" Trait: 1429
Calculation: 10007 / 1429 ≈ 7

Theme Scores Calculation Formula: Theme Score = (Total Number of PFPs in the Collection) / (Total Number of Matches for a specific Theme) x (Number of Matching Traits in the Theme / Total Number of Possible Matching Trait Categories in the Theme)

Example (with reference numbers only):

Total Number of PFPs: 10007
Total Matches for "Ninetails" Theme: 20
Matching Traits in "Ninetails" Theme: 3
Possible Matching Traits in Theme: 5
Calculation: 10007 / 20 x (3 / 5) ≈ 300

How do Tiers impact Grailed PFPs?

Tier will influence the rarity rank of your Grailed PFP. Ranking will flow as a whole from Legendary -> Epic -> Rare -> Uncommon -> Common.

All traits are accessible to each tier, however higher tiers will be weighted toward rarer traits and combinations to achieve the aforementioned ranking flow. Meta-traits like trait count and theme matches will create some variance on the overall ranking flow between Tiers that is impossible to predict until Popcorn loading is complete.

In season 2 of Battle.town, a G Tag’s power level was directly impacted by the Tier of the G Tag. When revealed, a Grailed PFP’s Tier will impact future experiences within the Yuga Labs ecosystem.

How does Popcorn impact rarity?

With the exceptions noted below (see * and **), total Popcorn loaded on a G Tag will correlate with the Thematic Rarity Ranking for that Grailed PFP in its Tier and Class. Total popcorn will also influence distribution of rarer traits and combinations while keeping with the aforementioned flow.

For example, if you load the highest amount of total Popcorn on a Rare G Tag with Swampy having the most individual Class Popcorn, you will receive the highest ranked Rare, Swampy Grailed PFP.

Ranked Grailed PFPs will be assigned to G Tags in the following order: Legendary Tier and Class, Epic Tier and Class, Rare Tier and Class, Uncommon Tier and Class, Common Tier and Class.

*The Legendary 1:1 PFPs are reserved for the G Tags with the most Popcorn of each individual Class loaded onto it, regardless of Tier. Total Popcorn does not have an impact on 1:1 Grailed PFPs.

**The impact of the Tomo Trait on the ranking of all PFPs is wholly dependent on which G Tags have Bells loaded at the end of G Tag fusing and loading periods. As such, its impact can not be determined until those periods conclude. Priority will be given to Tomo Traits over ranking in case of any discrepancies. For more on the Tomo Trait, see “What is the Tomo Trait?” below.

Randomness will be reflected in the overall distribution of all traits throughout The Grailed Collection with the exception of Tier which is determined by the Tier of existing G Tags and Class which is determined by how Popcorn is loaded on G Tags.

What is G Tag fusing?

Fusing lets participants combine their G Tags to impact a Grailed PFP’s Tier based on the number of G Tags combined. Fuse two G Tags for Uncommon, four for Rare, and eight for Epic. G Tags fused into Uncommons, Rares, and Epics are guaranteed their most-desired Class based on the highest Popcorn type they loaded to that G Tag.

G Tags must be fused by February 15, 2024 at 3:00 PM PT. Unfused G Tags will reveal common PFPs.

How do I fuse my G Tags?

From your connected wallet on Battle.town, navigate to the Inventory page and select the Fusing option. This link will open the Fusing page where eligible G Tags will display the total Popcorn amounts for each Class loaded on the G Tag.

Are there any limits to G Tag fusing?

Subject to the fusing schedule, badges earned, and Tier limits, participants may fuse as many G Tags as they hold. Currently, all fusing caps have been met for Rares and Epics. Uncommons can still be fused and guaranteed their preferred Class.

What is the Leaderboard?

As G Tags get loaded with Popcorn and Bells, the Leaderboard displays the rankings for each G Tag based on each Popcorn type, as well as the overall Popcorn quantity. As Tools earned Bells in Battle.town, these rankings also appear on the Leaderboard. Connect your wallet and select a G Tag or Tool to view its rankings.

What is the Inventory page?

Use the Inventory page to view and manage Popcorn and Bells, and fuse G Tags. Toggle between the Items, Badges, and G Tags tabs to view totals in each category.

On the Items tab, track the quantity of available Bells and Popcorn in your Wallet. Use the Items tab to transfer Popcorn and Bells NFTs from your Wallet to Inventory.

Adding Popcorn and Bells NFTs to Inventory burns the NFTs and converts Popcorn and Bells into off-chain rewards. This cannot be reversed. NFTs added to Inventory are final.

On the G Tag tab, use the token ID to select which G Tag you want to load with Popcorn.           Loading G Tags with Popcorn and Bells is permanent and cannot be reversed.

On the Badges tab, track the quantity of Storypoint Badges earned for each season 2 Mission. This tab also contains Storypoint Badges earned on the connected wallet during season 1. Badges were used in a prior fusing schedule and have no current impact on the Grailed PFP, including its Class or rarity.

What are Bells?

Bells are a reward earned by Tools holders in Bounties that can unlock a Tomo trait. Tomo traits are only available to Tools holders who have earned Bells. Joining a Team Bounty with a captain who is equipping a Tool does not yield Bells for other team members.

Load Bells to G Tags as ERC-1155 NFTs, or as off-chain rewards from your Battle.town account.

All Popcorn and Bells remaining in wallets or Battle.Town accounts as of February 15, 2024 will expire and self-destruct .

What is the Tomo trait?

The Tomo trait is a trait in The Grailed PFP collection that is only available to holders of at least one of 1,295 Tools who have also earned Bells. The limited Tomo trait has three Tiers, with its caps revealed on the Leaderboard. 1,295 Tomo traits will be awarded to the top 1,295 earners of Bells. More information about the Tomo trait will be announced at a later date.

What are Popcorns?

Successful completion of Bounties entitles users to obtain Popcorn in the amounts listed in the Bounties Log on the Battle.town homepage. Popcorn can also be purchased on secondary markets beginning February 1.

Popcorn will come in 7 different Classes. The choices you make in Battle.Town will have an impact on the type of Popcorn you accumulate, which will have an impact on the Class and rarity of your developing PFP. Here are the types of Popcorns:

KrakenMosuraSwampyKaiju
NinetailsMegaJawGolem

All Popcorn and Bells remaining in wallets or Battle.Town accounts as of February 15, 2024 will expire and self-destruct.
